Your next two options are: zillow.com and housevalues.com. They are not as accurate as using an actual appraiser, however, they are very good for estimated value. Another reliable way to check average house values is to use realtor.com - since Realtors sometimes place houses on the MLS at a below-market price, the MLS has skewed prices. Be aware of this while searching values.
